Fran Flanagan is one of the most respected real estate agents in the business. Throughout her more than four decade career in Los Angeles, she has been involved in literally thousands of transactions.

Working at the highest level in the real estate business, Fran continues to build a portfolio of loyal clients, friends and high net worth individuals who value her professionalism, experienced real estate representation and local market knowledge. A longtime resident of the Riviera in Pacific Palisades, she navigates the luxury Westside market with precision and ease. 

Fran’s sales career focuses on estates in Pacific Palisades including the Riviera. Over the years, she has represented more properties in the Riviera than any other realtor. Her client list contains some of the most famous names in Los Angeles, celebrities, and bi coastal and international buyers and sellers. Her client base has grown to include referrals of family members and colleagues of clients and relocating clients who are downsizing . This enlarges her circle to all price ranges, including starter homes and condos. 

Responding to this growth, Fran Flanagan Group was founded this year, including her daughter and partner Liz Jones. Liz had been an award winning digital marketing pioneer in the entertainment industry until her transition into real estate. 

Also joining Fran Flanagan Group is Jill Calcaterra, a seasoned corporate marketing executive, expanding the practice into Brentwood.

Fran Flanagan’s passion for real estate is matched by her love for Pacific Palisades, which she has called home for fifty years. “I believe it is the best community in Los Angeles. Pacific Palisades is a small town in a big city.” She is known as an “agent’s agent” and ambassador for Pacific Palisades, networking consistently with other agents among Los Angeles’ top brokerages. She is the first call they make when they have business in Pacific Palisades. Nobody knows the Palisades market better than Fran Flanagan.

Fran’s real estate career has included sales, management, recruiting, training and risk management. She is a broker and has studied alternative dispute resolution at Pepperdine Law School and estates appraisal at UCLA. During her twenty year tenure at Jon Douglas Company, she established the corporate relocation department as well as the Estates Division. Fran was the Founding Manager of the Pacific Palisades office, Branch Manager of the flagship Brentwood office, and Westside Regional Manager, where she managed sixteen branch offices from Beverly Hills to Malibu. She founded Fran Flanagan Properties in 1999.

In addition to real estate, Fran is a wonderful asset to L.A.’s Westside community, where she combines her working life with one of philanthropy, the arts and community involvement.

Fran is a Trustee at Saint John’s Health Center, and serves on the Boards of the Irene Dunne Guild, Saint John’s Health Center Foundation, and California Riviera Homeowners Association. She is Founder of Think Pink for Women’s Wellness, the Saint John’s Health Center’s annual Mother’s Day event. She is a member of the Bel Air Bay Club, the Founders at the Music Center, and the California Art Club. Celebrating home ownership in the Riviera, she hosts the annual California Riviera Homeowners Association Newcomers Party at her home on Amalfi Drive.

A lifelong resident of Pacific Palisades, Liz Jones grew up the world of Real Estate as her mother, Fran Flanagan, is one of the most influential realtors on the Westside of LA. Liz attended school at Canyon Elementary, Palisades Elementary and Brentwood School.

Liz and her husband, Billy, have owned property in the Alphabet Streets since they were married in 2001. Their two daughters attend St. Matthew’s Parish School and Palisades Charter High. After working for over 20 years in Motion Picture Marketing, Liz has finally joined her mom in Real Estate to be a partner in Fran Flanagan Group.

Upon starting the Digital Marketing Division of Twentieth Century Fox, Liz rose to Vice President before starting Fox Mobile Studios. She founded her own digital agency to learn the opposite side of the business, and then returned to the studio side as Executive Vice President at the film studio Relativity Media and then head of the digital business team at Assembly Media for Twentieth Century Fox. Her campaigns have won two CliO Awards, and she has been honored as a pioneer in digital media by Hollywood in Pixels. Liz brings an unrivaled knowledge of social and digital marketing to Fran Flanagan Properties, and she is excited to continue her lifetime in the Palisades by helping people with their home ownership goals.

Service is an important part of Liz’s life, and she is sharing that with her daughters through their involvement in National Charity League, working in the community with organizations such as Westside Food Bank, Upward Bound House, Hollygrove, and Ronald McDonald House. Liz is currently President-Elect of National Charity League Inc., Westside Chapter. The Jones family is locally famous for their amazing chocolate chip banana bread, and through selling that delicious bread, they have been able to raise enough funds to build a school for 300 students in Mirbelais, Haiti.

Jill Newhouse Calcaterra and her family have owned their home in Brentwood for over 22 years. Jill is the mother of two teenagers. Having been an entertainment and marketing executive for over 25 years, she is excited to bring her business experience and negotiation skills to Fran Flanagan Properties and Compass.

In addition to real estate, Jill currently serves as Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications and Marketing for a publicly-traded entertainment company. In addition to her day-to-day duties interacting with investors and strategic partners, she manages all of the company’s real estate needs, including the negotiation and closing of five office space transactions, ranging from 25,000 square feet in Century City to 15,000 square feet in Sherman Oaks.

An active community member, Jill has been president of the Kenter Canyon Elementary School’s Parent Support Group, on the Board of Paul Revere’s Parent Support Group. She is currently vice president of Palisades Charter High School’s Pali Football Program, where her son is an All State Varsity offensive lineman. Proud Mama.

Jill has also been involved in Palisades and Brentwood sports, serving as AYSO commissioner, as well as coaching soccer and basketball.  She and her family are also members of the Bel Air Bay Club, where she serves on the communication, activities and athletic committees.

Prior to living in Brentwood, Jill worked in the advertising business in San Francisco. She graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a BS in Journalism, and grew up in the Imperial Valley, where her father was a produce grower.
